Today begins a 48hr shift for my hero. I really miss him when he is on duty for a normal 24hr shift. But overtime was available today and we cannot pass up that kind of money. So I'm flying solo again for 2 nights.
I really do not mind the solitude at times, I have control of the TV, which is on a light classical music station all day. I keep scented candles lit and hang out in my warm, pink snuggie while feeding my cyber crack addictions or reading and sometimes working on a blanket. But I'll think of something I want to share, or just have the urge to snuggle up with him and then remember he is at the fire house.
I've taken to blogging to pass time as I've been told things I write can be interesting to read. I have two blog sites and will be posting the blogs on both until I figure out which site I like best. Then I will pick one and land there, or who knows maybe I will post everything to both sites.
I'll be on here stalking around for favorite bloggers to read too.
Ok off to work on a crochet project!

ReplyDeleteI share your thoughts about blogging and putting things down. I do the same. Even when my wife is home and I am here with her, we sometimes get on our seperate computers and have at it. She is French and enjoys tuning into her French stations and listening to what is going on in her native country. For me I am a car guy a motorcylce guy and a truck guy. So I have 3 blogs to maintain. One is actually a book that I am writing to chronicle an experience that happened to me some years ago when I was run over by a semi and left for dead on a highway. I am also going to post some more pictures but haven't decided which ones yet.
Keep up your blogging. You are a good writer and people can feel what you write! Maybe after you read one or all of my 3 blogs, you will be a follower also. Take care and hope you find work soon.
